Difference Between HDTV and a 1920x1200 LCD?

Yesterday I was in Best Buy browsing they have a huge selection of HDTV ranging from 15 in to 60 in. Now for say a 20 in HDTV it is about $400, obviously depending on the brand, but you can buy a LCD 24 in LCD monitor that is about the same price and is displaying at 1920x1200. So my question is what makes a TV superior in displaying HD content, or is there nothing? Is HD content dependent only on the resolution?

I guess the addition of the tuner in the tv makes a price difference, not sure about the actual picture quality though.

most 1920/1080 monitors actually come with an HDMI plug too, so basically the only difference between tv's and monitors are one has a tv tuner and one is MUCH better quality.
