Difference between monitors?

Thanks for the info, I noticed they both say high gloss but the second one pictures show a flat black on the front, similar to the monitor I am using now which is the samsung 730b. I think the side is high gloss and the front is flat black. But anyways, thanks for the newegg link, and the output for video cards.

When moving out of an older 17" vga only lcd here I soon found use for the DVI cable the new 19" widescreen model had when also noticing the need for an adapter to run the old monitor on a newer card. The trend now is for HD and DVI where you may want to shop around a little since HD and DVI are also cleaner displays over the analog vga type.

All the new card will generally see a secondary as well as primary DVI output even on the mid range cards. And newegg will generally top Tiger's price often enough to make it worth the effort to browse a little. The DVI is certainly worth it in the long run if you come across a model you like even more seeing less of the gloss.

While both look good taking a little more time rather then rushing to shop a little more can often turn up some others to consider as well. With the large variety of lcds now seen with 22" models seeing about the same prices as those two there you may ponder again.

Originally I was simply after a new 19" standard 1280x1024 display until just happening to run across the 19" widescreen model with the taller base stand. That shows that often you will find something you want even more at times.

The one item mainly to consider in the same price range of course is the option for DVI and not just vga by itself. That and browsing a little won't hurt any.
