Difference between two Video Cards

Hi I just want to know what the difference between a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Video Card and a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 512MB Video card is... except for the appearance... in other words... wich one is better?

I don't know, i'm 16 and I just wanna buy a game... all I know is that there's a difference in the appearence and that's enough to make me wonder.
 
I'm 16 and I just wanna play the Witcher, I know I don't have the right Video Card and that that's the minimum requirement... so considering they have a different appearence... I'm wonderung cuz I'm not really a genius...
 
What is it? One is 256mb and the other is 512mb or something. The 512 at the end just means it has 512mb. of memory. Dont really know if a 6600 would benefit any from having 512mb. Does the game requirements say 6600 512mb? Most 6600 had 128 or 256mb at the time when they were new. Are you buying a game or a Video card?

Firstly, what game? [EDIT: Just saw your post. The Witcher. Anyways, buy a card better than the minimum required. You're going to regret getting a 6600. If your motherboard only has an AGP slot, get something like the AGP version of Radeon 3850, it's way better than the 6600] That card [6600] is absolutely horrible at any new games.

Secondly, if the manufacturer of the card is different, then of course so are the looks. The GPU is same, however. How much memory does the other card have?

actually I don't have a 6600 I have a less performant video Card... so basically I checked on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and it says my video card isnt good enough to run the game... they then told me I should get an NVIDIA GeForce 6600+ or an ATI Radeon 9800+... wich I don't know if they're worth anything... so I just need a straight answer... is an NVIDIA GeForce 6600+ video card worth it? If not, what should I get? (in reasonable price range max 100$ canadian). Right now I have a RADEON X300 Series video Card.
 
Yea do you have pci-e slot?

if so, you have huge choice of cards..

DO NOT BUY 6600...YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY!!!!
 
PCIe X16 The Blue slot. It doesnt have to be blue.

Now there is a AGP slot on older boards. The green slot. But like above, its doesnt have to be green.
