Difference of chips in SD RAM

Hello there,

I was just wondering about the difference of the no. of chips on the RAM because i was told by some promoters that 16 chips supports P3 and 8 chips supports P4?? From what i know, as long as the mother board supports the speed, the capacity and the no. of pin of the ram then it should be fine.
So can anyone answer my question? just curious about it.

Thanks!

Some boards don't like certain configurations of high density RAM, or they don't like it at all. The only way to know for sure is to try it or look it up in the manual. Whether it's a P3/4/whatever doesn't matter.
