difference?

well... there are Athlon A64 3800+ (and 4000+) processors iirc,.. and also AMD X2 +3800+'s.. so i gues that what he mean's. but like said, the X2's are dual core processors, the A64 are not :)
 
X2 is a lot better than athlon 64. They do not have the same chip socket and blueprints

They are both on socket 939 and AM2, what are you talking about?

"blueprints"? The X2 is built from the Athlon 64 design, it simply has two A64 dies in one with a few minor tweaks.
