digital cam - web cam

hey there i was just wondering if i have a dv camcorder can i get it to work as a web cam on yahoo? and how can i do it with what programs.

Many sony's have that option, as they just plug and play.

what kinda webcam you got? I use to have this panisonic one that if you transfer video it uses firewire but if you use it as a webcam it uses usb. Try plugging it in with the usb and set it to webcam function (if you can) and see if yahoo messenger detects it.
