I want a Digital PCI TV card which you just plug in and the thing automatically finds a signal and gets you tv on your computer. I don't mind having a small ariel which i plug into the back of the card and put behind or on top of the tower but i don't want to have to get a wire all the way up to the loft. To the main ariel
any card suggestions would be good
Thanks

with a digital signal any other method will not work, i doubt you will be able to get a good enough signal with an internal ariel, and remember with digital its all or nothing signal. Something like video mate dvb t200 will do but it needs a roof ariel and a good one at that

I have freeview in my room, and im using a normla internal ariel. Granted its one of the ones that has like 2 ears coming off with a loop in the middle. One of these, plus a ariel booster, should give you good signal. Go to www.freeview.co.uk to find out if you can gte recepetion in your area.

As for the actual card, i would recommend Hauppauge. This card in particular

Really, i'm in the heart of london and i couldn't get freeview.
Yea, takes a good 5-10 minutes of positioning the ariel. And the first spot you find that picks up all channels well, tunrs out to have the wire trailing across the room, so you have to move it again.
