I'm trying to connect my macbook pro to an older tv (only component and s-video inputs).
I used a dvi to vga adapter, then a vga to s-video/component adapter. I set my display settings to every combination I could think of (resolution and refresh rate) but I could never get the picture to come through clearly - the best I could get was a tripled image of my screen with a lot of distortion and screwy color.
I don't have a lot of experience with video, so I've got no idea what's wrong. What am I missing here?
