I have 2x512 mb of kushkin basic brand PC2100 sticks of RAM from my old pc... Will that work with the Dell? The Dell uses 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 2 DIMMs .

Also I have IBM Deskstar 80 GB HD will that work with the Dell? The Dell uses 160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/ Native Command Queuing

the hd will need a ide to sata converter (dell sells it for $10) Im not sure about the ram though.

even without a converter most motherboards still have IDE connections on them, assuming this is true, then you can use it, without purchasing a converter.....

as for the RAM....im almost 100% positive that 240-pin DDR2 banks will not accept 184-pin DDR memory
