It's possible! Even with a DX9 card, but you need to go lower res. if you don't want a slideshow.

It's simply a matter of editing song config files. Good news if you have a DX10 card under XP, and i guess this could be applied to any other DX10 games, as long as they have the appropriate settings.

It doesn't use DX10. The "Very High" settings were disabled for DX9 by the developers. It has nothing to do with the limitations of DX9. The workaround has been known since the demo was released. No matter what, you are using DX9 on XP.

Gotta love it when knowledge meets dreamworld :)

I think it was a neat way to install trojans on the XP users that didn't want to update ^-^

I hope they do a better job with DX11 then DX10 though.

I just thought i'd share something, i'm really not up to date with games and such. not enough time. guess i better just go sit in the fail corner.

But what if you have a DX10 card under xp? I'm pretty sure there was some project that converted the DX10 files to xp... can't remember the name

If I recall right the only people to coming close to a TRUE DX10 on XP set up was hammered by MS and shutdown the project.
