i have a yahoo message board account. there is a total ahole that has taken over and corrupted the board for months and yahoo fails to do anything about it (other than send a form letter about the 'ignore feature'). a few days ago, he posted under an alias and posted a link that i would be interested in...dummie me, and others, clicked the link and a porn site came up. i thought, haha, that was it, but he then posted that he now knows everyone that clicked the links' email addresses, etc, and now he's harassing on our private accounts and even posted a ficticious post today using my email account!

number 1...how was he able to do this?

number 2...is there anyway i can get back at this guy?

i know...move on, change your address, close that account....but can't some of you expert mischievious types help me with this????

I could be wrong, but there is something similar to this on Myspace, it's called Phishing your account. By clicking the link they get access to your personal info. Best advice? Change your password and NEVER click on any links that you're not sure of.

yea, this could be the same case. lol. so if u click on a link that takes u to another log on page. promptly go retype the sites url again and use the original page to sign in if u need to. also check the url, its a bit different than the real url, kind of a give away IF u kno wat to look for. thats all i can say.
