Disable cpu core.

I play everquest 2 alot and the game doesn't work well with duel core cpus. can i disable one of the cores? if so, how do i do so?

You might want to check you BIOS. If not, then probably you can't. I doubt that the problem is with your CPU though, probably the GFX?

What you do is open up the task manager, and when you launch the game you right click on the process and select "set affinity", and then de-select one core.

What are you trying to get at?

There are a lot of programs that have issues running on dual-core processors, so you would have to disable one core in order for it to run.

+1 for the set affinity thing. I have to do that for frets on fire when I play that. It works with dual core, just runs much better with only one core enabled.
