Disabling 'New Programs Installed' Notification

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if its possible to disable the 'New Programs Installed' notification in the start menu, along with the yellowish highlighting on the program icon itself? Its kind of annoying to see it everytime I use the start menu, in XP as well as Windows 7.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks Vizy! I'll be honest with you, I never bothered 'googling' because I thought the results would involve something nasty like registry editing (similar to how you speed up the start menu) and thought this is the best place to ask! Thanks for quick reply!
