Disc Drive Help

Hi.
I really need some help with my disc drive.

I put a CD in to it, and it won't run. At all.
It won't come up on my computer when I refresh, so I opened Device Manager, and found this:

However, I couldn't find any appropriate drivers?
I found something similar online on driversguide, but it confused me.. so much.

If it's not a driver problem, can someone explain to me what's going on.

Help appreciated.

Also look for some firmware updates for that drive.

Nothing about Firmware has ever come up..

Reinstalling the cd driver will help
think so..

did you try clicking scan for hardware changes?

Yep, it scanned and said there were no changes.

Toshiba's CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives do not require any unique device drivers for Windows '95/'98/2000/XP/NT.

After installing your drive and re-booting, your system should recognize your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. Win '95/'98/2000/XP/NT Operating Systems support all Toshiba ATAPI CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives natively.


Haha this is from the Toshiba sight so i guess they dont make drivers for windows
