Disconnected from xbox live

Once in a while when i play multiplayer on xbox 360 i get disconnected from xbox live. On my computer i am somtimes asked to connect to the internet, but i am already connected and i click cancel. We use a modem and router. We have 3 rooms with 1 pc in each room. Each room has 1 internet cable. In my room there is the pc and a xbox 360 and a switch. I don't know if i had this problem before i got my xbox 360 and switch. This also happens when my pc is turned off. What can i do to fix this?

I am not. I have one internet cable connected to a switch. from the switch goes two internet cables. one for the pc and one for the xbox 360. I sort of "split" my connection.
 
Do you find your pc will sometimes disconnect from the internet too?

If so, see whether your disconnecting local or globally. If its globally go kick your ISP in the coaxical.
 
my internet works, but i disconnected and then reconnected, and it asked me for a login that i don't know, i click cancel and it works. the thing is when i play multiplayer on Xbox live on my xbox 360 it finds no players for a long time and then it disconnects me from xbox live.
