disgo u3 1gig usb storage device

hi guys

wondered if you can help me here?...

ive got the above drive from a friend who has deleted all the software on the drive thinking that it would free up more space...

well it did free up space but made the thing un-usable.

computer wont even pick it up-ive tried on my old xp sp2 and on me vista ultimate and nothing

gone through control panel-device manager and one disgo web-site and ive drawn a blank every time

i know there cheap to buy but its sittin here brand new used once to delete the files then thats it.....

please some one point me in the right direction

Well, I don't know if you can, when your friend formatted the drive it wasn't getting rid of some pesky trial software, that's the actual operational software for the device (called U3). Unless you can somehow get that re-installed, which I doubt since the computer won't pick it up, it's useless.

thats what i was thinking-but surely if the software was that needed why the hell did they not partition the drive and make the software part untouchable so you couldnt delete it in the first place?

is there nothing i can install on my pc that will help it pick it up?
