Disk Defragmenter

is there a better free Disk Defragmenter than windows? my hard drive is gettin slow and i need to defragment it

I use Defraggler and it works well. You can defrag partitions or select which files to defrag.

I have actually gone off defraggler, it tends to be very sporadic. I'm used to O&O though which is payed for and much better than any I've ever used.

Id recomend auslogics defraggler, but both are better than the windows one. I'd also say if you are willing to pay, go for O&O

I used UltraDefrag many years ago, and it was decent then. I just downloaded the new version and gave it a try. I must say it has come a long way and gotten much better.

well i used this one and i can tell eveything is load faster all ready but im gona try the last one

O&O looks intersting, im considering it as it seems a bit more flexible than the win7 defragger...

Nothing I know about. I used it often in the past.
I think most users want something different, faster, more functions, goodlooking, because they are bored to use Windows Defragmenter.
One thing I know for sure, no defragmenter changed anything on my computer, not faster, not better, no nothing.
Nevertheless defragmenting your harddisk is necessary, sometimes.
I use PerfectDisk (payware), but I never noticed any improvement, using it, although Raxco claims it's fantastic.

The only software that changed my computer in a sensational and good way, was FirstDefense-ISR, but that is not a defragger.

I've always preferred custom made software, nothing wrong with the basic one, it all depends on your requirements though.

I'm not sure if pc health advisor can help you, but try to refer them. I am too had problem like this before and I just refer to pc health advisor, they will give you step to make your pc speed.
