Disk Full ; now computer will not boot

Hello. I have a family friend who said that she was on her laptop and it said "XXX Disk if full" She said that it did not say star-up disk. She said after that it worked fine and the next day she got on it and the screen went black. Now there is no sign of life even with the computer plugged in.

What could have happened?

PSU or Mobo?

Could be numerous things. Try this.

Unplug the laptop.
Remove battery.
Hold down power button for 30 seconds.
Replace battery
Replace power cable.

Try and start it.
