I got one of those before.

It usually means your Master Boot Record is corrupt. There is a DOS command for repairing it but I'll have to look it up and I'm in a hurry. If no else posts it, I'll get to it when I get back from class :)

If you have a Windows CD, you could boot to the recovery console from it (press R when it boots up.)

"fixmbr" is the command to fix the Master Boot Record.

If this has happened I also recommend trying the command "chkdsk /r"
