I have server and I am running Windows Home Server OS. My problem is that I am running the disks as AHCI but, half the disks are AHCI and the other half are RAID. How do I change them to AHCI???

Here is an image of the BIOS screen.

Just to be sure, you are not running your drives in RAID, correct? Are any of the drives showing up as RAID your OS disk, or are they all data disks?

They are all data disks. And yes, I am not running any disks in RAID. I checked the RAID controller BIOS and that also only shows the disks running AHCI registering. All the disks that are running RAID in the image are invisible to that BIOS and the OS's disk manager.

When everything is setup correctly, I will be running software RAID, not hardware RAID.

I would highly recommend hardware RAID over software RAID, an OS corruption wouldn't corrupt your RAID.

That being said, the location of the SATA mode varies based on the BIOS manufacturer, but it is a setting in the BIOS. Look under the advanced tab.
