Display Adapter not showing up

Ok, I haven't been around for a while, but I'm no ignoramus. I was undoing my mistake of running Vista on my computer. I loaded the XP CD and formatted the HDD and got Windows installed.

Then the first thing I usually do is the display driver. When I ran the Nvidia driver it said there was no applicable hardware.

I checked the desktop properties under the settings tab and it shows [Default Monitor] on … The dots aren’t there I just put those here signify the empty space that exists in that spot.

I have reinstalled windows several times before with no problems like this.

What I have:
GFX card: BFG Nvidia Geforce 7600GS (AGP)
Mobo: ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA
Processor: C2D E6420

What I did:
Removed the video card and reinserted. (Hoping it would detect new hardware.)
Tried deleting the display adaptor from device manager (Caused display problems after restart)

Tried repairing windows instalation. (Hoping it would install a new default driver.)

If you need any more info, please let me know.
