Display Problems

Hey everyone, the problem I'm having right now is that everything I do on my computer is so jumpy, whether it is just moving a window around or just typing this post right now, the screen seems to be lagging ALOT and its only been doing this the past week or so, and I can't think of anything that I've done to cause it to do this. My video card served its purpose totally fine, other than during gaming, for the past I'm not even sure how many years, 2 or 3 at least, and its just starting to act up now. I can't figure out whats wrong with it, and I don't want to have to go buy a new one as I'm a little short on cash right now. Thanks in advance for any help:)

You may want to start by reinstalling your video card drivers. Other than that your system may be lagging due to malware/viruses - run a virus check and a malware check with Adaware/Spybot. Excessive temps may also be causing your system to throttle-back and lag, so check your temps.

Other than that, post your system specs.
 
check if any video card firmwares are up since u said it can be up to 3 years old. and also remember if you have installed anything that may conflict with your video card or any tweaks. and also do a disk cleanup, defrag maybe. spyware/virus scans also.
