Distorted Playback

I have two CD burning programs, but for some reason when I burn a Music CD
they begin to distort and make a "Clicking" sound after about 30 or 40 minutes during playback getting worse the futher it plays into the CD.

So if I burn a CD 60 minutes long I only get about 40 minutes of
music before it distorts. I cannot even make out the last songs.

Does anyone know the cause of this and how can I fix?
I would appreciate any advice.

Sounds like you either got some crappy CDs or your CD burner is going bad.

The Computer is pretty new, I havent used the burner much, and it happens with all brands of CDs.

try burning at a slower speed, that is what worked for me

Ok, I did slow it down once and it stilll happened.
Perhaps I need to put it on the lowest setting.

Was your playback clicking and such to about 2/3rds into the CD?

my problem was with burning DVDs, the audio was all messed up and started to get distorted and delayed. Burning things slower worked for me.
