Do i need another 6+2pin PCI-E adapter thingy for my 9800GTX+?

So your saying i need to get a 6+2 pin adapter or not? I've never even seen one before :/

You can pick them up at most computer shops too....I had to pick up a 4/8 pin adapter for my MB for my Antec 900 case when I get around to it.


Though your PSU should have 2 6 pins all ready. I dunno if there is any side effects to use a splitter and using 2x6 pin for 1 rail (unless its a single)

Sicnce your OCZ I am guessing you have 4 12v rails with 18 amps each? If so you will need to use 2 6 pins.

No you only need two 6 pin connectors, it doesnt have a 8 pin connector. Pretty sure all 9800GTX+ only comes two ways. Either two 6 pin connectors or one 8 pin.

Think the OCZ only has one PCIe power connector. Most retail cards come with a 6 pin PCIe/Molex adaptor. So you will probable not need any thing. But for a 9800GTX+ that 500W OCZ is cutting it pretty close.
