do i need hdmi cable?

i ordered new pc with a hd 5770 video caradola. i have now new asus ve276q 27" screen in 1920x1080 hooked up to old pc with dvi. with new pc should i be having hdmi? not come with cable so have to order. :confused:
 
Depends on what your card and monitor has, i guess your card has 2 DVI-D and HDMI and display port, and you screen has HDMI and DVI-D, so pick one. between HDMI and DVI-D there is no difference at all, both send digital signatures so you will not lose any quality. its really up to you, i use DVI-D, for my computer below and my xbox is connected using HDMI so.. chose
