Ok all of a suddun my computer is running a little slow, and games are really laggy, can't even play them from the lag.
OK i have windows 7 and i would tell you the graphics card but forgot out to find it on my computer to tell you what it is....

I Did look at the base score and it was like 4. something and i hit refresh and it went to a 2.0........ Can't refresh it no more.... and the 2.0 is the Graphics.

Here are some photos.

Device Manager>Display Adapters will tell you what card you have.

Yup, looks like your graphics card is holding the rest back, but like voyager said, we need to know what kind you have.

Is it a desktop or laptop? Your CPU might be hold it back, also. My dual core is 1 GHz higher and its reading a 6.6 in windows experience. But that test isn't 100% accurate.

the card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT

i went to the web site did a few updates for it and well it still is laggy and its still a 2.0

Desktop computer.. also this just started a few days ago, the computer is maybe a few years old. Never had problems like this before. I would like to get this fixed so i can get back to my games.

The 8500GT is pretty outdated. What games do you usually play?

So the games you are talking about did they run fine earlier and suddenly started lagging or they recently started lagging?
Then it would be time to clean up your computer.

If not, then which PSU do you have??
Brand and wattage

And a the games which you play don't look like much except starcraft your GPU must be able to handle them.

It used to be fine it kind of recently started lagging bad, its even laggy on this site while typing. I have did a disk cleanup, i have did the updates, i have like not even filled half of the computer... I got 210gb used and 721gb free space on the hard drive..

by PSU do u mean the processor? if so its a Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz

Rune scape, facebook games, Starcraft, Tycoon games.. etc...

so its outdated mmm so whats a good one i can get? If i get a new one will it fix my problem?
A new graphics card won't help those games, there's a problem somewhere else.

You said this started to happen all of sudden... have you checked it's not in a power saving mode or something? Have you installed any programs as of late? If your games used to work fine on the same hardware, it's most likely a software problem.

PSU - Power Supply Unit

No you need not post your PSU model.
Since the GPU is not at fault here.
If it has started happening recently then you need to clean up your computer like run some tests and stuff.A new GPU won't help it.
Start with running CCcleaner and then also do a malware scan using Anti-Malware.

I would start looking at a video card driver issue or the system just needs some general maintenance done on it like downloading and run Ccleaner. WEI(windows experience index) score was actually never ran then we can't base it off what it used to be as it defaults to 4 i believe until you run it for the first time.

If running Ccleaner doesn't help, I would probably do a system restore back to a day when it was working ok and go from there. Possibly a windows update causing the issue. Do you have updates set to automatic or manual?

did the Ccleaner, did not help... updates are automatic but i check them all the time to make sure.

I think this problem started at the start of this week so maybe i'll just do a restore... I'll just save stuff to a usb drive.

oh how do i do the system restore thing lol

Click Start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. No need to do a backup, it doesn't touch your personal data, it just restores system files back to the way they were at that time when everything was working good.

But did you pick a date back to when it was working fine? If so then, its got to be a hardware issue. What is the driver dats for video card? Go into device manager and look under display adapters and right click, click on properties and post the driver date.
