Do these match?

New member here, recently got this computer for free. Was looking to upgrade it a little bit so it could play Tera and World of Tanks. Curious to ask if this graphics card would be able to work with the intel i5 2400 motherboard.. Currently stuck only able to play RuneScape and other various non-intensive graphical games.

Any input is appreciated, also looking for a recommendation for some RAM, it is DDR3 but not sure if I need to know any other specifications.

Can't you spend a little more? That'll make almost no difference. Try to get at least an RX-460 It's like $90.

About the RAM. If you are looking for compatibility specs only, the DDR3 and the fact that they have 240 pins is the only thing you gotta look for. You always have to try for all your sticks to be the same make and model. About performance specs you are looking at speed (measured in MHz, the higher the better) and CAS latency (around 9-10 for DDR3, the lower the better).

I seriously recommend not spending $45 on that. Save another 45 and get a 460. I'm begging you!

@Deadpool, could you link a product or two from amazon that would work with my computer? (both graphics card and RAM) I'm very bad with making the right decision when it comes to computers lol. I will wait till I have ~$100 for a new GPU so link one up with that amount, the RAM can be linked aside from the $100 price (also is it possible to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit for free? Looking for more than 4GB RAM)

2 problems you have.

You'll need a low profile video card which you are limited on and also, you would need to increase your power supply. That is a small form factor case. I don't recommend putting any money into this.

I would need a picture with you actual specs. Try using Speccy and post a screenshot of your main components, the I'll be able to put together part list and hopefully find matching RAM sticks.

About the Windows thingy. Do you have Win10? If so follow this:

http://m.windowscentral.com/how-upgrade-32-bit-64-bit-version-windows-10

EDIT: Does it have to be Amazon or can it be any US company?

I'll edit this post when I'm done running speccy, be about 5 minutes. What's the difference between low profile and non low profile? Also I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.

^^

If it has the 240W PSU you are doomed. And that case is too small so you are kinda doomed anyways. You should probably just sell that thing, and build something cheap and new. Something like a Pentium/I3 and a 460 build I would say. That shouldn't be more than $500.

Here are my specs: https://gyazo.com/6e79a8b600bf6b3f595bb54c88d63b73

Also I have a few computers that I can take apart and use their case for which would be exponentially bigger, I just don't know if it's worth moving all the parts. I also have some spare PSU's (500W+) so I don't think that should be an issue.

? If you have a bigger case don't even think about it. About the PSUs could you provide some models? Or pictures? Just to make sure they won't kill you and your family.

So it wouldn't be worth switching cases? And yes give me a second to find them

Moving an OEM motherboard into a retail case can be hard. Sometimes the usb and front panel wires are in one connector. I would just suggest selling this and buying something and build it yourself. That way you aren't limited in anything you want.

Yeah bro sell that thing and get something new and upgradeable. When you get some more cash just upgrade what you have.

If I was to just buy one, would it be wise to order from ibuypower.com? Seems like their deals are pretty sweet

Hell no. Build it yourself. Much cheaper.

Do you know if there is a site where I could order my parts, and have a payment plan? I'm not well off with saving up money, it would be much easier if I could pay every month instead of all at once. If so I think I'm just going to put in an order today for something

If you already have spare case & PSU, have a try to move across before purchase new GPU.

Your existing PSU seems to be TFX.
You can also consider get a better psu with low profile GPU like GTX 1050/ 1050ti

I have no idea. Maybe Amazon? I do not live in the US so I do not know.

I don't see the point getting G4560.

I think i5 2400 still faster than G4560
