Do u think this a good cpu for me

ok i just bought a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Dual-Core
TO go with it i got 1 gig of ram soon to be 3 to you guys think this cpu will help with Games and tasking
 
ya is a very good cpu.. top of the line AMD dualcore .what kind of ram did you buy? and what kind of motherboard and video card are you using?..Just curious.

A great CPU, the Fastest of the AMD Athlon 64 X2 series, and It will definetly help with games and tasking if you upgraded from a single core, or low speed dual processor. As far as 1Gb you'll be fine if it is fast, because I think that anything above 2 is a overkill. I just got 2Gb because I do a little gaming.
Also are you going to be Overclocking?
 
The 6400+, I believe, is a 125W CPU. I also think it's running on 90nm technology so that means that you're going to want to keep a VERY close eye on heat output...especially if you're going to be overclocking.

A good Heatsink-Fan is essential.
