Do you get excited about computers?

i seem to be getting bored with pcs, sorry guys its true

last xmas i was deciding if i should sell my rig,buy a cheap laptop for the net and just buy a 360 for gaming and put the rest in the bank because im so fed up with constantly upgrading my hardware to meet the demands of new games.

i mean my latest upgrade was the Q6600,i could have purchased a 360 with 3 games for what i paid for it

and put it this way....theyre not getting any cheaper so sooner or later most of us will not be able to afford to keep upgrading.

Eh.... I have a E6300 and It's still working fine for me at STOCK clock!

But yea.... I really want to upgrade. (no money. :()

The E6300 is a nice processor, can easily overclock to 2.8-3ghz if you would want to but i had mine at 2.8Ghz and i lagged in GRID and it would sometimes lag in Crysis which i couldnt do with.

dont have any lag now though in either of those games.

How much is a 360 over in the UK? How much was your Q6600?

I get really excited. I just upgraded to 2 gigs of ram and Tuesday I should be getting my 580w power supply and a amd 6000 x2 3.1ghz. I know its not that great of a processor but im upgrading from a amd sempron at 2.1ghz!!!!!!!

Erm no i dont get excited about them, just a way of life for me.....need a decent rig every 4-5 years but dont get excited about them.

Definitely the most exciting part is just when you get the package of computer parts and you are just about to open it.

Yeah I enjoy the cable management part of my PC and I also love to build PCs since I get to map out my entire set up etc before the parts get here.

Personally I plan to find a nice PC shop job...I am a nerd to a degree (not speaking binary anytime soon) but I am more interested in building/modding.
