well ok i think ill shift my opinion, but what will be made better in the retail than not in the beta
im still saying no, they are being rather overzealous with thwe distribution of DRM content and restrictions in vista, you would be surprised how many "average users" as it was put download or own illegal content... If vista stops or trys to stop this it isnt going to go down very well. Other than that i think it will be a huge success, mainly cos its backed by Microsofts HUGE global brand and has all the money it could ever want to get off its feet, so its not going to fail, t will be a global sucess, but the question in the poll was Do YOU think vista will be a success... well, it ownt be a success if it gets on my PC's, ill have it on dual boot with XP, but XP will be my main and my only choice for working withHairy_Lee said:Anybody that says no are fools. When has a version of windows since 95 not dominated the market. And none of the software manufacturer's are gonna wanna make a move away from a safe platform
thats not exactly a good argument to make, people said the exact same thing about win98, the same thing about ME, 2k, XP, everything, the reason for vista being released is because tis supposed to improve on XP, so saying that its pointless because XP is the best isnt too great.Christian Darrall said:whats the point in that what are you gonna use vista for, xp is the best one so far
pishposh said:will it support 32 and 64bits. can you change the resolution between 2 user accounts
Heh, well, take xp and 2000 into consideration. They said the same thing....Christian Darrall said:i mean an operating system is not really supost to look good and be so demanding on hardware resources like vista, they are just adding to the visual look of win98 not really adding any extra advantages
Maybe because what is now considered an "average user" is actually a "average Windows user" and doesn't know that there is an alternative to Windows.I seriously doubt your average user will change the OS on their new Dell to something like Linux or back to XP
Well, when it is released that wont be as high end of a system as it is now. Both of my two main copmtuers can already run the beta that was realesed to public, and i dont think its going to get any worse for system specs.....Christian Darrall said:Well its astraight forward question.
Do you think when vista is released to the public, do you recon it will be a sucsess,
Ive seen people say "its good" and some say "its bad."
i added a poll to make it clearer to see the results.
I think it wont. Because people are already complaining about the specs just for the BETA version
Thats what a BETA is.....If it was stable then it would be complete and readyt for sale!Christian Darrall said:well i agree with what your sayin, it is a beta. but if anythink microsoft should make the beta a stable os if they expect people to buy it when it comes out, basically there not doing themselfs any favours by releasing the beta which might make people think its a bad os to have
Christian Darrall said:well honestly your not saying that 2000 looks good, okay xp looks good but think about it, you wont need to upgrade your computer to run it, unless your pc is really, really old.
an plus the fact xp didn't into to much 3D depth, if you know what i mean, they only had the cloured taskbar, and thats it not no 3D fancy moving buttons
