Do you use MS DOS?
i actually use it. I have an extern hdd. when i want to just copy edited documents i use MS-DOS.
windows can not do that action.
what about you? what actions you use in Dos?

i run batch files with it and also when i need to defrag my mbr as well as make my own backup batch file so i dont have to use the windows backup utility. :)

It's loaded on my Tandy and I was playing with it earlier this break(which is about over :( )

As for actions...eh, what do you want me to do? :P copy, md, xcopy, fdisk, format...those are probably the more common commands I use.

Heya

Well use it once in a while. I am a noob in MS DOS though. Just today, I had to fix my friend's PC and had to use CHKDSK /R and /F, FIXMBR and FIXBOOT. That fixed the problem he had (not being able to boot into safe-mode or anything else :P

JAN :D

I use it for pinging, and I found this great task manager program which is a handy backup for when the windows one fails to respond/open

I am referring to the Windows Command Line, I don't know if that's considered DOS.

YES when ever I can you can do things with DOS you can not do with windows crap. For example lets say you had a few *.htm files you would like to change to *.txt how would you do that with windows "in one hit" yes I needed to do that a few years ago when I was going to night classes it was very handy and saved me a lot of time.

Today I have used to to run a batch file to check a HTML file with HTML-tidy

---- more ----
Come to think of it, it was the other way round I wrote a lot of TXT files I had to change to HTM so I could check to see how much HTML I had learnt

Ive used the command prompt in XP (like 3 commands). I prefer the linux terminal (so much easier to learn and much more powerfull than the command line). As for DOS i want to try it.
