Docking Station

Im thinking about getting a Docking station for my Dell XPS M1710 (in sig). my main concern is, for some reason im thinking that there might be some downgrade in video/mouse responce/internet speed, quality. does this make any sense? has anyone used one before? any and all opinions are appreciated. thanks.

P.S. i have a 22" widescreen monitor/Logitech MX Laser mouse/ Logitech G15 keyboard hooked up to it atm.

I can't see why it would case any lag what so ever... I mean it's basically reproducing the ports on your computer. Some things are doubled; like I think you basically have two networking cards on some setups, but typically this shouldn't hinder performance.
 
thanks for the info guys, and CPTmuller, i found it on ebay for 120$ :D:D:D i was in no way goin to get it for the full price from dell.com. but after seeing it for that much on ebay, i'm reconsidering.
 
I still think that unless you really need the speedy change the 120$ is best spent elsewhere (new mouse keyboard ETC)
