Does a video card work without drivers?

Yes. I'm not sure how it works with BIOS, simple interface system of some sort I guess, but windows loads up crapy default drivers. Of course you'll need the real drivers unless you don't mind a graphics card that works as well as a stapler.

woa hold on, did you install that card on a system with onboard graphics? or any other graphics cards?

Yes, it had a onboard graphics card BUT it was disabled (I had to clear the bios to get it to work again).

Ah ok, I though mabe you had tried to run your graphics card with your onboard enabled, which would have cause that to run as opposed to the actual graphics card.

Could be drivers not installed or something. That or it really is just plan shitty. What do you got for onboard, is that it in your specs?

Thats the one I'm typing on, it runs just fine, the one in question has a GeForce 6100.

oh, I looked at the specs, you're right shitty. But it shouldn't lag on IE, that's not exactly a graphic intense program now.
