Does all the browsers use the same DNS server?

Hi all,
Do all the browsers use the same DNS servers? or each browser use their own dns servers? I have this Dell XPS M1710 laptop using windows 7 ultimate 32bits. There is a praticular address I can't reach, it return an error message said the site is not be able to reach in IE8 or IE9,(just upgrade to IE9 to see if it make a different). but I can reach it using Firefox.

Is the dnschanger virus cause that or something elso wrong? a setting in the IE8 or 9? when I booted to xp, I have dual boot. it work fine, i can reach to that particular address. The address is my electricity online payment site.

Anyone have any suggestion?

If you were infected with DNSChanger, you wouldn't be online right now.

The only thing it could be is a popup blocker or some other issue where the site just doesn't like to load in that browser.
 
The other computers work fine with ie8. everyone connect except this one. so I wonder if there is a setting in the ie8 or 9 cause that? Or I have virus in this computer. that is what I concern about.

Your DNS setting is on your network adapter. However, an individual browser may be configured to connect through a proxy or something that is interfering with it's ability to connect to websites. That would generally affect all sites though, not just 1.

It could also be in the browser's blocked sites list with content advisor.
