Does anybody play Left4Dead 2 Deathmatch?

I've had it for a while on my hard drive - but played some this weekend. Looking for some pointers - if anybody is good at the game.

Is there a strategy ?

I'm slowly finding the secret caverns and weapons lots.

Is there an etiquette - I got booted from a moderator in one game - not sure why - I wasn't talking on a headset - so it wasn't language?

Some maps I hold my own - others I'm creamed.

At the end of a game - it says
Score - Death - Latency

Score - how do they figure ?
Deaths - is this me - or how many I killed?
Latency - what is that?

What does each category stand for ?

Overall - it's a pretty fun game - especially for a freebie. But when you're getting your head blown off as soon as your body appears - time to find another room

Score- no idea, never played, but typically this is based on your kills
Deaths- Typically, in a deathmatch-type game, this counts how much you died
Latency- Your ping. This is how long it takes your data to travel out and back,
 
Sorry about the redundant post - but I got the name of the Free Steam game wrong last night. I was interested in Half-Life2, not Left4Dead.

I played a bit of the beta when it was due release and have played it a few times since but it just isn't a great multiplayer game for me. It's almost a cross between Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament but is much worse than both.

Score - Kills (If you kill a teammate or kill yourself this will go -1)
Deaths - How many times YOU'VE died
Latency - Internet connection, the lower the better.

As I said before it just isn't an exciting enough multiplayer for me to play it regularly.

I'm still a newbie gamer - played mostly offline - so don't have much to compare it to.

I played some COD world at war - and Just started multi-player b/c I have it as a free Steam Game on my PC. Just trying to mix things up to keep it intersting.
