Does anyone here run an Opteron?

Well, I've just seen some amazing scores form Opteron setups...and I'nm surprised not many people are goingthis route. They are a tad pricey, but not way over the top.

Anyone run an Opteron or plan to? They are sold out as of now, but soon to be in again.
 
The opteron 152 is cheaper than the fx-55, but the use of regestered RAM which makes it more expensive in the end. If they ran on nf4 platforms and used ragular RAM I would definetly buy them. I wanna see the new 2.8 gigahertz egypt model running in 8 way form... that would be awesome...
 
I didn't think all Opteron's required registeed RAM, do they? I know hes using ballistix with his Opteron 144. It's actually a S939 and NOT a s940 (CPUZ goof there)

They are only ~$215 for the processor, and still 1MB L2 cache and 64-bit.

They do. All S940 chips do ... although i have heard something here and there about getting away without it...

Dammit i knew there was something I read! Thx :) Of course, being a S939, i dont know if id wanna be stuck running a NF4 chipset
