No, you don't need a side fan.Yup. How about cooling those cards? Do I need a special case with a fan on each available side or can a use a simpler one (and quiter one which is important for me) that has one fan in front and one in the back by default?
Letse think about getting a new front fan... Everything is very silent inside my rig (silver arrow, arctic extreme 7970,..) except my front fan and it makes a very annoying sound -.-
Did that fan come by default with your case? Its a different case than one I suggested btw...

Yes I am. I saw a benchmark (dont remember the link anymore) that compared Core i7 4770K and Core i5 4670K quite thoroughly throughout several games and the 4670K was at 98% gaming performance of 4770K.
Thats a great result for being 150 dollars cheaper.
