Does DVI-I work with DVI-D?

I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card, and the new card I have in mind is DVI-I. My monitor is DVI-D. Will this work?

I don't think you can, no.

Yes, you just need a DVI-D cable (DVI-I will support both analogue and digital signals)

all video cards are dvi-i, so you can use a vga adaptor
