Does high speed video put any wear & tear on a LCD monitor?

I don't completely understand the componentry inside an LCD monitor - and I'd guess it's lifespan is based on hours of use at a certain brightness would be the largest factor in lifespan of a LCD monitor.

But is there any kindof additional wear from viewing fast moving graphics vs a standard web page - or PC application use? i.e. would using a second monitor mostly for video use cause it to wear any faster than standard PC usage?

Thanks

i think (seriously i'm just guessing) that when you buy a new plasma screen that you shouldn't hold a frame for the first couple uses. Like say you just put down your daughter's college tuition on a brand new plasma screen and you plug in your xbox. Then you start playing it and the phone rings. Don't pause the game. PAuse it and turn it off. Make sense?

Well, with any plasma of any age you shouldnt let an image persist, nor should you with an AMD. I left F2H logs on my secondary monitor for a few days, and about 3 days later i minimize them and i had some lcd image persistance. Had to run a black/white/black/white powerpoint on it with 10second changes for about a day, then about 12 hours of a dead pixel flashing program to flash the whole screen and now the text is gone.. But something to think about before leaving something on your monitor for a long time.
