i have the following programs :
Norton internet security suite 2007
Etrust EZ anti virus
ad-aware Se personal edition
SPYBOT search and destroy
Xoft anti spy
Windows defender
HIJACK THIS
webroot windows washer
Spyware doctor

SO does it look safe from threats i also use limewire ,bearshare ,u torrent and msn and online game eg counter strike and sometimes sites(like mini clip).
 
you should trade Norton 4 AVG Free, it's free and really good..

limewire and crap like that have spyware all in it..
 
I would look into AVG Free antivirus. I have Search and Destroy, windows defender, and Ad-Aware also. Defender never finds anything, and AVG always finds more than the other two. I would strongly recommend it. And if you do away with Norton, make sure you have a firewall, even though the windows one is pretty good.
