Does my computer have PCI-E?

hey guys, im shaopping for a new graphics card and i was wondering if my computer had pci-e, so i opened it up and it looks like a had 1 slot that is pci-e but im not sure... anyhelp?

yup you only have 3 Pci slots and an AGP:)

whats your budget?
there are still quite alot of powerfull AGP cards available.
 
damn.. cuz pci-e cards seemed cheap on ebay....

whats a decent AGP or PCI graphics card...

my budget is around $100, but that can go far on ebay...:-D

EDIT: also preferably with a DVI port....

Yep, agp slot. I was going to suggest an x1600 AGP version, however newegg only had the openbox ones that I could find for around $70-100. I'm sure you can find better on e-bay

and according to the reviews, it gets really hot...
whats the difference between a ati radeon 9550 and a 9800 Pro
which one is better?, im guessing the 9800??

yeah if you gonna choose between those two then i would choose the 9800 pro.

Just dont expect to play every game on high because its a little outdated and WILL struggle.

dont get me wrong,I have a 9600 pro and its been a great card and i could play games like Fear on medium,Far cry,Doom 3,Prey and it handled them quite well so a 9800 pro shold be okay too.

But as new games are comming out i need more power so a new system basicly:D
 
It's an AGP, but from the looks of the previous card you had it in i'm not sure if it's an AGP 2x/4x or AGP 4x/8x slot.

I just took out an old 9250 that was to hand the connector pattern looks identical to this. I'll say it's a 8x board because the card ran on an Asus K7V8X.
 
I don't think his motherboard is but I know this old one I have is. You may also want to check out the PSU, Check how many amperes are available on the 12 volt line(s).
