Does orthos decrease the life of your ram and cpu?

When you run orthos for a stress test wouldnt it decrease the life of your ram and cpu since its under constant load? I know its needed to test for stability but I was just wondering.
 
If you run it for the life of your computer nonstop, probably, yeah. Otherwise the very selective/short times you will run it won't have any effect on life of the components.
