I would like to know if I run my monitor at a Higher resolution, Does it require more work for my GPU? If so, Does it require a lot more work, or a little?
Yes. Running a higher resolution requires more GPU processing power. General web browsing and whatnot is not an issue with it, but streaming videos and playing games at a higher resolution will bring a higher load on the GPU.
Yes it does require the GPU to work harder as there are more pixels that have to be rendered. Larger resolutions also require more Vram, especially when using AA.
Well, All I really use my computer for is office tasks..So, is it fine for that? Also.. While your already here.. A client of mine would like to know if a 8mb Graphics card will run YouTube videos?
That's fine for that (yours), but i don't think so for him, they don't make cards like that any more and haven't for...ever...literally been since the 90's since one of those was made, and if he has a computer that supports the socket they run off of, or his integrated can't, then he really needs a new computer.
