Does this look right????

Look at it really closely it says it has 192MB of ram. This is not photo shopped except to block out the register number. And this is my grammas computer and it is a HP a845w.

Probably 256M RAM with 64 shared for video. Or originally came with 128 and someone added another 64...

The system came with 256mb installed unless more ram was purchased. The 192mb is either the amount of memory taken by XP and the board before starting anything else like your favorite game or the original memory was removed and replaced with smaller dimms? Not likely with two 128s seeing 256mb total. Or the amount seen there may be the amount of free memory rather then the actual total.

I would think that the "missing" 64MB is for the shared video RAM, like Other_One said.

You always see some memory used by the board right off. On different boards 196mb can be taken right away from a 512mb dimm leaving some 316mb approximate available unless more then one dimm is installed.
