alredy brought-nikao hero mid tower case

i hope this rig will keep up with games for 5 years

the 8600 is beat by the cheaper 1950 pro

Who said that ?

Just look here at some benchamrks

In shader-intensive games like STALKER and oblivion the 8600GTS can outperform X1950pro and even 7950GT.

Since most of the future games are shader-intensive then I assume that 8600GTS would be much better than X1950pro in future games

In the current games, 8600GTS is on par with X1950pro

7900gt in SLI isn't going to cut it lol, unless you want to update again around 2008 then i recommend buying (as brandan said) at least a 8800gts, if you do decide on a 8800gts, go for a good, well known brand. its not worth the money to bo out and buy a shitty card from Palit or Sparkle..... no offense to people who own these brand of cards.
