Does this sound like a good gaming computer?

Everyone is telling me to go with Intel so for $490 does this sound better than the AMD 8150?

Intel Core i7 3770K Boxed Processor
Patriot Viper 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1600
Asus P8Z77-V LE Plus Motherboard

Yes, much, but for gaming all you need is the 2500k or 3570k (i5). Also, i'd go for this motherboard, several of our members have had faulty ASUS products and they have one of the worst possible support teams out there apparently, and their quality just isn't the best either

and since you still haven't actually said a yes or no to the micrcenter question, (guessing no since due to phraising of living near a fry's) here's why

I do not know about that, but both stock it is marginally (as in it is in the margin or error) faster than a GTX480/GTX570.

This was a package deal from Fry's electronics and ends today not to mention my main computer just might end today also. So I can grad this or just wait and try and build one later.

i'd go and grab it, like 70 more than a 3570k and gigabyte mobo and 8 gigs at newegg but a 3770k and 16gb's for a few more is good.
