dunno on the amd chip, might wanna go phenom depends on what your going to do, phenom if your gunna do video editing to any point i would recommend a phenom if your going to do that, if your not trying to make a spider rig, get one of those amd 45nm duo cores(i know that makes me sound like an intel fanboy) but, they run cooler, and use less power. my two cents
