Does this sound slow to u??????????????

Can some one tell me if this is slow? I have windows Xp Home.

I timed this .

ok it took 2min and 10 second for my computer to start up and it took another 46 second for me too see the incons on the screen. so it took 2 min and 56 second for my computer to start up and ready to use.

is there something wrong with it?

I have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed in my compuer.

It's prob. looking for a network.. I read somewhere that windows searchs for a network even if you aren't on one.. My computer boots relitivly fast after I first instal windows xp but as soon as I set up my home network I get about the same boot times as your having which I've read is normal if your actualy on a network . I also remember that site that Lorand sent ya too via the provided link and I'm pretty sure there's a specific tweak on there just for this little prob.
