When I plug a thumb drive into the USB port and look at the data does anything on there get added to the hard drive or is that data permanently deleted after I withdraw the thumb drive?
What I mean is that I just use the computer as a viewer to see what is on the thumb drive. I place the thumb drive in the USB port, click on the thumb drive in Windows Explorer, read the data (PDFs,etc.), and then safely remove the thumb drive. Does anything I read from the thumb drive stay on the computer I used to view the contents of the thumb drive?
Will only leave reference of file name only and what type of format it was in.....Sometimes the name of the file itself reveals sensitive information![]()
