Does Unifying Software Work

I have a Dell computer, running W 7, and I lost the dongle for the K520 Logitech (not M520) keyboard for it. Looking on the support page I notice that I can use their unifying software. Does this actually work without the dongle? I also am using a Logitech wireless mouse and am wondering if the software will have a negative affect on it. Thanks

I wasn't sure but after thinking more about the response that I would need a dongle, it was kind of a "duhh" moment. The only other dongle I have right now is for the mouse, but I'll have to check to see if it can handle the unify. Do you know if more than one device can be assigned to the dongle?

Only if it's a unifying dongle.

If it looks like the following picture, you're good to go.
